At Arlatdax dachshunds, we have been building our reputation as a trusted council licensed dog Breeder in kilmacolm. We are also proud members of professional dog buisnesses uk. We breed miniature smooth hair, miniature long hair and miniature wire hair dachshunds. We have started some showing and doing it all ourselves with our own dogs with being new we are proud of what we have achieved we got 4 qualified for crufts for 2024 all at 6 months old and did it again with 9 all qualified for 2025. We also attended crufts 2024 and loved it and can't wait to go again in 2025. We recently had one of our dogs gain his junior warrant, stud book number and is crufts qualified for life. We are family run and include our kids in everything with the dogs our son has become member of the young kennel club to start junior handling classes and had been smashing it placing in breed classes and earlier in the year getting group 4 in a massive hound group at champ show with Ferrero. More recently got his own puppy and trained her from 8 weeks old himself and just entered show ring he's already got best of breed best puppy in breed and puppy group 4. Also got her qualified for crufts in a competitive mini smooth class at a champ show. We have also most recently achieved one of our dogs getting reserve best minor puppy in show reserve best junior in show and another getting Top puppy 2024 on our dogs which we are over the moon with couldn't believe it when we got told. Our world revolves around the dogs this includes taking them regularly to our caravan out to restaurants dachshund cafes dog friendly shopping and most recently some camping trips. Our dogs come everywhere and we always look for new places to take them to explore. We take our responsibilities very seriously and strive to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all our dogs. That’s why the happiest days for us are when one of our puppies is chosen by a loving and welcoming family. We aim to have our pups leave happy well socialised confident puppies. We are here for our puppies for life and happy to help at any point. We have waiting list for our dogs if you are genuine and serious you can join the list if willing to wait for your perfect addition.

STUD DOGS
These are our stud dogs at the present we keep our stud team small with quality dogs from carefully selected lines we don't offer dogs at stud that we wouldn't be happy to use over our own girls with this in mind our boys are first and foremost for our own breeding program so when we do offer them at stud it is our decision as we aim to better the breed and can help advise which boy will be more suited to your girl to ensure your puppies are best they possibly can be. We choose our boys for there amazing personalities and temperaments. We look for boys who are happy meeting strangers good around kids and enjoy being around other dogs. Social boys who have waggy tails but still remain true to type. We offer help from mating to pregnancy and beyond if required. When choosing a stud please also ensure to select correct coat type for your girl as we do not offer cross coat matings.

From calm and cuddly to energized and playful, we have it all. All stud dogs are health tested and colour tested.
FERRERO
Now available Ferrero is one special boy hes got the most amazing personality he's KC registered pra clear and bva eye unaffected. Not hidden dapple so safe for all colours and is 4.9KG and true to type. He's currently dipping his paw into a bit of showing and doing well won quite a few firsts BOBs so far and is Crufts qualified 2024 and 2025. Also had a group 4 placing at a champ show and his most recent achievement was gaining junior warrant and his stud book number he's now crufts qualified for life he's just smashing it this year. He's proven and sired some beautiful offspring so far.
CHEDDAR
He is our first miniature wire hair active at stud to select bitches he's kc registered and his tests have came back hes pra and lafora clear and he isn't hidden dapple so he's safe for all colours. Standing at 4.9kg he's a nice size for stud. He started off his show career well and when he was only 6 months old he qualified for crufts 2024 along with his sister and again at a year old qualified for crufts 2025. With 2 qualifying from same lines 2 years in a row says alot about this special boy and his amazing breeding lines he will be great asset to anyone's wire coat programme.He is Proven with pups on the ground who I will say are most stunning mini wire pups I've ever seen.
ATLAS
Kc registered miniature smooth Black and Tan pra hereditary clear carrying chocolate no hidden dapple no dilute. His generations include many Champion lines and very good showing lines. Crufts qualified 2025 winning BOB and being placed in groups recently getting group 1 and group 3 at open shows. With this he also has most amazing friendly personality with the waggiest tail he loves people and other dogs. He's definitely not shy with anyone and enjoys his cuddles. He's proven.
GROOT
Kc registered chocolate and tan pra hereditary clear no hidden dapple no dilute from very good lines. He's got a lovely laid back personality with alot of love to Give he likes to be cosy and say hello to all strangers. He loves playing with other dogs. He's proven with litters on the ground.
ATARI
Our youngest member to join the stud boys for stud he will be mostly used on our own girls we may offer him to select girls in the future. He's just started his show career and smashed his first show winning his class best of breed and best special minor puppy in group and got himself crufts qualified at his first champ show in a competitive mini long hair class all at 6 months old and recently winning his class best dog best of breed and Best puppy in breed in one show so proud of the start he's had and can't wait to see what future holds for him.

WAITING LIST 2024 OPEN(LONG HAIR LIST CLOSED)
We have opened waiting list for 2024 We have planned litters of miniature smooth long hair and wire hairs. Anyone on the waiting list will receive regular updates on the full process. You will be able to see you puppy at each stage starting with video calls then visit at 4 weeks 6 weeks and collecting at 8-10 weeks. All puppies are guaranteed to come from health tested parents. They all leave first vaccination wormed every 2 weeks large puppy pack welcome pack microchipped 5 weeks insurance and well socialised used to kids household noises and confident. No expense spared when raising the puppies. If interested in joining the list please message with preferred coat type when you would be looking to add your new addition and preferred sex and colour. If looking for preference on sex and colour their may be a longer wait only join if your willing to wait for your perfect addition. Unfortunately mini long hair list is currently full but smooth and wire hair is still open for this year.
